Your initial appointment is an essential step in getting to know you. From what your primary concern is to who referred you to our practice, we’ll take the time to chat and better understand what your smile needs and goals are.

We strive to make your dental experience comfortable, whether you’re due for a scale and clean or require emergency care. By being attentive to your needs, we’re changing how our patients view their routine dental procedures. You’ll notice the difference from the moment you first step through our front door!
Smile Creation offers you a casual, calm environment in which you’ll feel relaxed and cared for by our caring, experienced professionals. You can look through the magazines and journals or watch television in the reception area before your appointment time. Kids enjoy their own space to colour, draw or play with toys.
You’ll fill out a brief new patient form, then see Dentist Dr Sanjay Khanna. If you’ve booked for a checkup and clean or an emergency like a broken tooth or filling, we’ll address it immediately. Otherwise, you’re likely seeing us for a consultation that involves X-rays and the creation of a treatment plan tailored to reaching your goals.
The first visit takes 30-45 minutes.
Should you require any treatment, we’ll discuss the options available and provide a written treatment plan that outlines all of the estimated costs involved. We’ll tailor each procedure and recommendation to your individual dental needs, future goals, cosmetic preferences, budget and timeline.
We’re currently providing a $90 new patient special, which includes a comprehensive exam, any necessary X-rays, digital imaging and treatment plan.
No-gap appointments are available for our patients with private health funds and all claims are processed on-the-spot via HICAPS.
Our dental staff is well-versed in speaking with patients who have felt anxiety about dental care. We’ll fully explain what we’re going to do before starting and have headphones if you’d like to listen to music. A television mounted on the ceiling also serves as an effective distraction.
If required, sedation options are available. Oral sedatives are taken about an hour leading up to your appointment and provide a deeper level of relaxation. If you feel nervous, be sure to let us know so that we can help.
