Porcelain Veneers
Dental veneers are one of the most popular cosmetic procedures to achieve a straighter, whiter and more aesthetic smile. Our practice features state-of-the-art technology and techniques to help all patients reach their smile goals.
Composite vs Porcelain Veneers
At Smile Creation, we offer two types of veneer materials – composite and porcelain. Composite veneers are a more affordable option and are made out of a white-filling material. It is a much quicker procedure and can be done in just one appointment. The material is colour matched to your teeth, so it blends in perfectly.
Composite veneers are a great option for those wanting to restore the look of one or a few imperfected teeth as this can be a quick and easy fix.
Porcelain veneers are a more premium, longer-lasting veneer material. They have a natural tooth-like shine and are made from a durable material made to be more durable. If you’re wanting a higher-quality veneer, we recommend the porcelain option.
The first step to getting dental veneers is booking your consultation with our dentist. We will assess your smile and determine if you’re a good candidate for veneers. We will also take impressions of your teeth and then start the process of creating your custom veneers!
After approximately one to two weeks, we will have your veneers ready in our practice. When you come in, we will make you feel comfortable and gently file down the tooth’s surface to make room for the veneer. Then, we apply the veneer to your tooth’s surface and apply a strong bonding agent to hold the veneer in place.
You will walk away from your appointment with a brand-new smile.
Investing in veneers means your committed to keeping your oral health in optimal condition. It’s important you look after your new veneers as if they were your own teeth. You should be brushing morning and night and flossing at least once a day.
Protecting your new smile with a mouthguard at night is also crucial to keeping your veneers in good condition for years to come. We can create your custom mouthguard in our practice and take impressions during your appointment.
