Root canal treatment

Root canal treatment is required when an infection develops in the nerves of a tooth.Treatment of the infection involves a series of visits where the nerves are removed from the tooth-which clears the infection. The nerves and tooth are then sealed to prevent bacteria re-entering the tooth.

Gum Treatment

Gum treatment may be necessary if gums and teeth are not cared for daily by yourself, and checked regularly by your dentist. Gums can become inflamed, turn dark red (gums should be pink in colour) and may begin to bleed when brushing and/ or flossing. The gums may or may not be painful, but if left untreated, bacteria will develop and may cause decay on your teeth, or increased inflammation may lead to infection and bone loss. Unfortunately, perfectly health teeth may be lost if bone loss occurs. This can be prevented from regular check-up and cleans every six months. However, if you notice any symptoms of possible gum inflammation, it may be a good time to contact us at Smile Creation. We are able to book six-monthly examination appointments in advance, or provide a reminder to ensure you keep your gums and teeth healthy throughout life.
